International membership
International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA)
A non-governmental organization that represents the industry and includes approximately 40,000 forwarding and logistic firms around the world - also known as the "Architects of Transport." FIATA has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations (inter-alia ECE, ESCAP, ESWA), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).
Selangor Freight Forwarders and Logistics Association (SFFLA)
A Selangor-based association that aims to forward the betterment of the local freight and forwarding industry by conducting professional training courses, to maintain an Ethical Code of Conduct, and to establish linkages with other local and international industry-related associations for the continuation of professional knowledge and best practices.
Federation of Malaysian Freight Forwarders
It is a Malaysian affiliate to FIATA (International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association), AFFA (Asean Freight Forwarders Association), FAPAA (Federation of Asia Pacific Air Cargo Associations and MNSC (Malaysian National Shippers Council). FMFF participates in many government forums such as Dialogues with MITI and MOF, Customs Liaison meeting, MOT, MLC, Trade and Facilitation Action Council (MITI) and provides industry views and inputs for policy makers' consideration.
Johor Port Shipping & Forwarding Association (JPSFA)
Formally known as Associated Shipping Club, JPSFA(a Johor-based registered association) that aims to represent all sectors of the logistics chain. JPSFA is committed to protecting and enhancing the welfare of her member companies by forging close relationship with port terminals, various government authorities. JPSFA has come a long way in terms of its presence and will continue to forge ahead with the ongoing enthusiasm and undivided support from her current and new members. The Association is committed to improving and upgrading the professionalism of the members it represents.
